It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Lewis Filanowski of Milford, Connecticut, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Filanowski; his parents, Marko Filanowski and Victoria Filanowski; his sons-in-law, Richard Stonona and Arthur Gladue; and his siblings, George, Edward, Francis, Mary, Walter, Joseph and Chester.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbie, Jackie, Joanne Filanowski Stonona, Barbara Filanowski Gladue, MaryAnn Filanowski, Teresa Filanowski Kristopik (Paul) and Jacqueline Filanowski Allen (Anthony); his grandchildren, Karen Stonoha, Laura Palatiello (Alexei), Brian Gladue (Carrie), Christopher Gladue (Heather) of Arthur, Frankie Polumbo III, Samantha Palumbo, Megan Allen, Anthony Allen Jr. (Kayla), Nicholas Allen (Emma), Diana Cowan (Matt), Brandon Allen, Jack Allen, Thomas Allen and Joannie Allen; and his great grandchildren, Jared, Devin, Christopher Jr., Cody, Frankie III, Braeden, Brooke, Hunter, Nicole and Benedict.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Filanowski Farms (381 Wheelers Farm Rd, Milford, CT 06461). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Saints Cyril & Methodius (79 Church St, Bridgeport, CT 06608). A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at the Saint Mary Cemetery.
