He is survived by: his wife Karen Karpie; his father Robert Murphy; his children, Katie Hayward of Milford and Daniel Murphy (Ally) of Fairfield; his grandchildren, Max, Leo, Vivian Hayward, Ava, Nora and Riley Murphy; and his siblings, Vincent Murphy (Debbie) of Caledonia, IL, Joseph Murphy (Jill) of Valrico, FL, David Murphy (Marcia) of Anderson, IN and Mary Ann Cox (Gregg) of Rockford, IL..
