He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Holthaus and Eleanor Holthaus. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sullivan Holthaus; his children, Kathryn Reardon (Michael), Susan Holthaus, Ryan Holthaus (Julia) and Megan Dionne (Justin); his grandchildren, Hayden, Aubrey, Camryn, Jack, Zack, Ella, Decker John and Beckett Rhodes; and his son John. He is also survived by many extended family, good friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
