He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Brown and Rita Sheridan Brown; and his in-laws, Frank and Mary Cosentino. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Joseph (Christa) of D'Iberville, MS and Peter (Beth) of Stratford; his grandchildren, Camryn, Michael, Lauryn, Kaitlyn, Kristyn, Cooper, Noah and Kenzie; and his brother Bobbyand (Janet) of Old Greenwich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations will be accepted by the family to help with James funeral expenses.
