He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Henry Lanyon and Jean Nixon Lanyon (Low); and his sister Sylvia Rahmlow (Lanyon). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Teresa Lanyon (Varga); his daughters, Tanya Bombero and Wendy Haasken (Jeremy Schauer); and his grandchildren, Matt Jamison (Emily DeMace), Chloe Bombero (Peyton Cocchiola), Hunter Haasken and Gavin Haasken.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home (315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468).
