He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael R. Grzywacz and Marguerite M. Markham; and his siblings, Michael, William, John Grzywacz, Deborah Grzywacz Brickett and Elizabeth Grzywacz.
He is survived by: his wife Erin Burr Grzywacz; his mother-in-law Ginny Bok-Burr of Fairfield; his children, William "Billy" Grzywacz, Jackson "Jack" Grzywacz and Jocelyn A. Grzywacz of Alden; his goddaughter Nicole "Nikkie" Burr of Massachusetts; and his sisters, Margauerite "Mucket" Grzywacz of Meriden, Linda Grzywacz Tribble of Shelton and Michelle Grzywacz Brock of Bristol. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
