She is survived by: her parents, Paul Lafferty and Lisa Lafferty; her sister Alexis Jade Lafferty; her grandparents, Robert, Anelia Roy and Paul Andrew Lafferty; her aunt Colleen Pierre (Jude); her cousins, Angeline and Robert Pierre; her uncle Scott Lafferty (Cerissa); her cousins, Winter and Tucker Lafferty; and her pet Rosie.

In lieu of flowers, Avery's family and close friends have formally incorporated Avery's Little Army as a non-profit charity to advance pediatric, brain and other cancer research while providing support to battling families.
