He was predeceased by: his wife Essie Ready (Winborne); his parents, Curley J., Sr. and Ruby Lee Ready (Hunter); his brothers, Norman A. Hunter, Curley J. Ready, Jr. and Arthur L. Ready; and his close friend Tora Bartell.
He is survived by: his children, Kinte Ellison, Terry Winborne of Middletown, Dwayne Holloman (Melvon Ready) of Springfield, MA, Dana Ready of Middletown, Delisha Johnson of Springfield, MA, Alia Wheeler (Ready) of Charlotte, NC and Tashique Winborne of Middletown; his siblings, Calvin B. Ready of Middletown and Roxanne Ready Hodge of Greenville, SC; his brother-in-law Samuel Coney of Stamford; and his cousin William "Billy" King of Middletown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cross Street AME Zion Church (440 West St, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
