She was predeceased by: her spouse Emile R. Lavigne; her parents, Henri Melanson and Irene Melanson (Audet); her brothers, Roger and Leo Melanson; and her granddaughter Vivian Elise Hanifin.
She is survived by: her children, Peter W. Lavigne (Meg Dooley) of Chatham, NY, Anne Marie Bilodeau (Joseph) of Middletown, CT, Suzanne Narajka (Greg) of Wallingford, CT, Elizabeth Caffrey (William) of Portland, CT, Mary Hanifin (David) of Milton, MA and Paula Moore (Bob) of Southborough, MA; and her grandchildren, Michael LaVigne, Thomas Caffrey, Gregory Narajka, Dr. Katie LaVigne, Christopher Caffrey, Emily Murphy, Nick Narajka, Clara Hanifin, Gillian Moore, Emma Moore and Ted Hanifin. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
