She was predeceased by: her father John Vanags; her grandparents, Zuzanna, Joseph Vanags, Goldye and Joseph Masselli; her aunt Mara Ashline; and her son Gary King.
She is survived by: her husband Scott Rice; her mother Pat Vanags; her sister Melissa Vanags; her brother-in-law Barry Rice; her sons, Bobby King (Danielle) and John Vanags-Rice; her stepchildren, Daniel Rice (Karissa), Katie Rice (Johnny) and Jennifer Rice (Richard); and her grandchildren, Alivia, Ava King, Evan Ingraham and Karter Ramirez. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christie's memory to All the Kings Horses Equine Rescue, in Northford CT.
