He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore, Sr. Hunt and Mary Hunt (Kaiser); and his children, Sarah Beth Hunt and Theodore M. Hunt, III. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Hunt of New Haven; his sister Kathleen Specyalski of Middletown; his granddaughter Samantha Ashley (Juan Morales); his great grandchild Arabella Teddy Morales; and his former wife Betty Butterfield of Middletown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
