He was predeceased by: his sister Roberta Wennerberg. He is survived by: his fiancée Elizabeth Padersky; his children, Devin Menard and Heather Winters (Robert Winters); his grandchildren, Tatum, Amelia, Caleb, Blake and Brody; and his fiancée's son Dillion. He is also survived by Aunts and Cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Department of Connecticut in his name.
