He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilmore and Beryl Gilmore (Laing); his brother George Gilmore; his aunt Thelma Laing; and his nephew Christopher Gilmore.
He is survived by: his husband Mark Bruzas; his sister-in-law Mary Gilmore (Grady); and his nieces and nephews, Ann Gilmore, Casey Gilmore, Greg Gilmore, Ryan Gilmore, James Gilmore and John Gilmore.
