He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lyon and Helen Lyon; his former wife Catherine Brackett Lyon; his wife Joan Lyon; his siblings, Marilyn Kolb and Kenneth Lyon; and his stepdaughter Lori Miller.
He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Lyon and Mark Lyon (Colleen Casey); his sisters, Ruby Schneeberger (Charles) and Dorothea Went; his grandchildren, Rachel and Nathaniel Lyon; his stepdaughter Kathy Chartier; and his stepgranddaughter Julia Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
