With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Nordby (Middlebury, Connecticut), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on April 21, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Louis A. Nordby; her parents, John Samela and Angela Samela (Sacco); and her brothers, Leonard Samela and Nicholas Samela.
She is survived by: her children, William J. Nordby (Margaret) of Ohio, Mary Nordby Caisse of East Haven, CT and Catherine Nordby; her grandchildren, Heather Williams (Todd), Rebecca Nordby (Shawn Osika), Philip Caisse, Emily Caisse, Gerard Martin (Courtney), Elizabeth Glazier (Michael) and Spencer Martin (Katelynn); and her siblings, Andrew Samela (Jean) of Middlebury, CT and Mary Sprano of Waterbury, CT.. She is also survived by her children and a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, services in Middlebury, CT will be scheduled for a future date.
