He was predeceased by: his son James Smith; and his grandson Jeremy Sutterlin. He is survived by: his wife Muriel Smith (Anderson); his daughter-in-law Carol Smith of Minnesota; and his daughters, Donna (Bill Scyoc), Karen (Lonnie Sutterlin), Christine (Ed Nelson) and Patricia (Jon Clark). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
