He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Bates (Miller); and his siblings, Harry Bates, Robert Semrau and Elizabeth Lisitano. He is survived by: his wife Rita Bates (Molyneux); his father Louis Bates; his grandchildren, Stephanie Fiore (Steve), Jennifer Lynch (Shawn), Aidan Clancy and Madison Clancy; his great grandchildren, Ben and Cecilia Fiore; his sisters, Dottie Morello and Cathy Russo; and his sister-in-law Barbara Semrau. He is also survived by loving father and grandfather he is survived by daughters (and sons-in-law.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (164 Hanover St, Meriden, CT 06451).
