Alexander Vanags Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander Vanags of Meriden, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alexander Vanags to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Vanags and Zuzanna Vanags (Borgus); his siblings, Valdis Vanags, Mara Ashline (Vanags), Joseph Vanags Jr., John Vanags and Peter Vanags; and his niece Christie Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Vanags (DelGreggo); his brother Bruce Vanags (Bev); and his close friends, Dukey and Little Guy. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Wallingford Funeral Home (809 N Main Street Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
