James L. McAuley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. McAuley of Masons Island, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James F. McAuley and Genevieve Batley McAuley; his wife Mary Simpson McAuley of Mason's Island; his children, Brian McAuley (Jill) of Sarasota and Kelley Gronda (Robert) of Chevy Chase, MD; his grandchildren, Hailey Barber (Matthew Barber), Brady McAuley (Sarah Barr), Zachary McAuley, Emma Gronda and Liam Gronda; his great grandchild Hudson Barber; and his sister Judy Gibilisco (Joseph) of Manchester. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Mary and her family request a donation be made in Jim's honor to Tallwood Urology and Kidney Institute - Department of Philanthropy (hartfordhospital.org) or Calvary Church.
