He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Merritt and Doris Merritt (Lincoln); his brothers, Arnold Merritt and Phillip Merritt; and his grandson Cameron Merritt.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Merritt (Markham) of Marlborough; his son Mark Merritt; his daughter-in-law Melanie Merritt of Marlborough; his daughter Rachel Rogers; his son-in-law Brian Rogers of Ridgefield; and his grandchildren, Michael Figueiredo of Denver, CO, Elizabeth, Zachary and Lydia.
