He was predeceased by: his parents, Stefan Karapata and Janina Karapata (Osinski); and his siblings, Robert Karapata and Barbara Segar. He is survived by: his former wife Lise Lambert of Canterbury; his children, Gerard Dubord of Canterbury and Helen Bartha of Canterbury; and his siblings, Maria Morin of Plainfield, Halina Karapata of Florida, Theresa Karapata of Willimantic and John Karapata (Wendy) of Hampton. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
