It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Morton Heath Schlehofer of Manchester, Connecticut, born in Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Anna May Schlehofer; his parents, Francis Schlehofer and Rose Schlehofer; and his brothers, Woodrow and Truman Schlehofer.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Maryke Schlehofer), Glenn (Mary Schlehofer) and Halina (Christopher St. Laurent); his children-in-law, Cynthia and Frederick Johnson of Coventry; his children, Virginia, Karl Sizemore of Cromwell, Nancy, Anthony Luongo of Ellington and Marji Evans of Wilmington, NC.; his grandchildren, Dustan Schlehofer, James Bartolomei (Suzanne), Leslie Young (Doug), Nicole Ortiz, Ronald Enders Jr., Dana Johnson, Frederick Johnson (Ashlee) and Daniel Johnson (Katherine); and his siblings, Frank Schlehofer (Patt) of Anchorage Alaska and Patricia Woodward of Ferrisburgh Vt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. James Church (896 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. James Cemetery (360 Broad St, Manchester, CT 06040).
