She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Piela of Manchester, Michael Piela of Winsted and David Piela II of Vernon; her siblings, Virginia Green of South Carolina and Pamela Kasyan of Alabama; and also Tom Lowell of East Windsor. She is also survived by granddaughters; and her two best friends.
