He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Cunigunda Kim (Chang); and his siblings, Margaret Chung, Simon Kim, Joseph Kim and Mary Choi.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica (Scalzo); his sons, Jonathan (Gabrielle) of Coral Gables, Matthew (Rebecca) of Wellesley and Justin (Barry Gilman) of Northampton; his granddaughters, Ellen and Sarah of Wellesley, Massachusetts; and his sister Martina Kim of Seoul. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
