He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman W. Hackbarth and Rose Ann Hackbarth (Colwell); his brother Clifford J. Hackbarth; and his friend Ralph Lenoce of North Haven. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Louise Hackbarth (Picket); his children, Katherine M. Hackbarth of Jewett City, Susan E. Fillion (Steve) of Killingworth, William C. Hackbarth of Hampton, NH and Michael J Hackbarth (Kate) of Clinton; his siblings, Arlene Hackbarth of East Haven and Dennis Hackbarth of Pacific Palisades, CA.; and his grandchildren, Rebecca, Steven, Adam, Sarah, Mary Kate and Saoirse. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
