She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Homer and Lydia Ashley (Bahrenburg) of Winsted, Connecticut.; her sons, John "Jay" (Cynthia), Robert "Jeff" (Patricia) and Gerald "Jerry" (Janice); her son-in-law William (Susan Wakeen Perssonatti); her grandchildren, Anthony (Kathryn Cerruto III), Sara (Scott Gordon), John Paul (Skarlett LaPlaca), Jennifer (Blake Levin), Julie LaPlaca, Janelle LaPlaca (Beau Moore), Scott (Heather Perssonatti) and Kimberly Perssonatti (Kim Ward); her great grandchildren, Alec Cerruto, Ava Gordon, Liliana, Catalina LaPlaca, Siena, Riley Levin, Teegan LaPlaca Moore and Kenneth Perssonatti; and her husband James Harvie.
