He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth "Dude" T. Cheney and Marion Jesson Cheney; his wife Ruth Johnson Cheney; and his brother Michael Cheney. He is survived by: his children, Cora Cheney Muñoz (German Muñoz Fortaneli) of Litchfield, CT and Edward Cheney of Warren, CT; his siblings, Kenneth W. Cheney of Cornwall, CT, William Cheney of Callaway, VA, Susan Gobillot of Sharon, CT, Karen Cheney of Cornwall, CT, Joelene Teittinen (Robert Teittinen) of Litchfield, CT and Robert Cheney of Dover Plains, NY; and his grandson Christian Muñoz of Litchfield, CT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
