She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Davis Beard and Harriet Trubee Garlick Beard; her husband James Frost Ackerman, Jr.; her children, Robert Drew Ackerman, Lysbeth Trubee Ackerman Abrams (Lane Jordan Abrams) of Falmouth, MA and Joshua Frost Ackerman (Ann Wehrmeyer Haderlein) of Libertyville, IL.; her siblings, Martha Beard Merk and James Robert Beard of Milford, CT; and also, Eric and Nicole Haderlein. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Litchfield, the Mary Floyd Tallmadge Chapter of the DAR, the Litchfield Historical Society, the Oliver Wolcott Library of Litchfield, CT, and The Samaritans.
