It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Payson R. Whitney Jr. of Ledyard, Connecticut, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Payson R. Whitney, Sr. and Priscilla Whitney (Ordway). He is survived by: his wife Katie Whitney (Mahoney); his children, Payson R. Whitney, III (Elizabeth) of Watertown, MA, Michael M. Whitney (Frances) of Mystic, CT and Katherine Reeves (Michael) of Athol, MA; his sisters, Linda McGuigan of Gambrills, MD and Pamela Reilly (William) of Peachtree Corners, GA; and his grandchildren, Annabelle, Charlotte, Ella, Whitney and Luke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
