He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dougherty and Elizabeth Dougherty (Hurtt); and his brother Charles R. Dougherty of Farmers Branch, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Alma Dougherty (Reyling); his children, Vicki Dougherty of Scotland Connecticut and James H. Dougherty III (Jennifer) of Hillsboro; and his granddaughters, Abigail and Lily.
