He is survived by: his parents, John William Sabo, Sr. and Joan Alma Sabo (McKeon); his wife Cindy Sabo (Raccio); his children, John Sabo, Nick Sabo and Christeen Winkler (James Winkler); his grandson Theodore Jay Winkler; his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Sabo (Karen Sabo), Pat Sabo (Sally Sabo), Fran Sabo (Sheila Sabo), Cheryl Collins and Eileen Sabo; and his brother-in-law Skip Raccio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Jay's memory to the National Park Service.
