With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles E. Hamlen (Kent, Connecticut), born in Schenectady, New York, who passed away on August 1, 2018 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Richard King Hamlen; and his brother Richard King Hamlen, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Caroline Schuyler Jenkins Hamlen; and his sisters, Ann Goldsmith of Buffalo, NY and Katharine Reed of Gaylordsville, CT. He is also survived by three nephews, four nieces and several grandnieces and nephews.
