He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Fitzsimmons and Katherine Fitzsimmons (Dougherty); his brother Dr. Robert Fitzsimmons; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Larkins and Arthur Smith.
He is survived by: his friend Faith; his pets, Maggie, Midnight, Spooky and Peaches; his wife Peg Fitzsimmons (Smith); his children, Ellen Mahan (Jim), Susan Faust (Tom), Jeffrey Fitzsimmons (Jill) and Brian Fitzsimmons (Micaela); his stepsons, Thomas Middlemass (Sabina) and Peter Middlemass; his grandchildren, Danielle Roohr, Connor, Taryn, Will, Arianna Fitzsimmons, Samantha, AJ Faust, Michael, Elizabeth Fitzsimmons, Elana Middlemass, Jocelyn Soucy (AJ), Jeffrey and Jacob Thivierge; his great grandchildren, Brooke Moeremans, Dakota, Ryder and Easton Soucy; his sister-in-law Anita Fitzsimmons; and his friends, Marsha, Ken Baker, MaryAnn, Larry Fagan and Ray Thivierge. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, cousins.
