She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Hawkins (Lenny); her parents, Ralph Spencer and Louise Spencer; her son John Hawkins; and her nephew David Spencer.
She is survived by: her sons, Peter (Jane Silvestri) of North Haven and David (Lynne) of Berlin; her brother Fred Spencer; and her grandchildren, Susan Hawkins, John Hawkins, Jessica, Joshua Hawkins, Rebecca Hawkins and Katie Genovese (James). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
