It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Celia Dorio of Kensington, Connecticut, born in New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Patricia Ligas; her siblings, Albert Battaglia (Angeline) and Emily Balducci (Joseph Balducci); and her parents, Anthony Battaglia and Angelina Battaglia (Distola) of New Britain.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Dorio; her son Kenneth Dorio (Lynda Barry) of Old Lyme; her son-in-law Paul Ligas of Kensington; her grandsons, Adam Ligas (Jaime) of East Berlin and Justin Ligas (Amanda) of Kensington; her great grandchildren, Emma, Jack, Max and Caleb; and her nieces and nephews, Richard, Joseph, Donald, John Balducci, Carol Simone, Roberta Kramer, Thomas Battaglia, Gary and Dennis Dorio. She is also survived by spouses and dear children.
