He is survived by: his parent Helen Downes Gaffney Sullivan; his wife Mary Louise Blinn Gaffney; his children, Mary Alicia, Richard "Fritz" Conway, Laura Anderson, Tom Anderson, Kateri Howard, James Howard, Cyril Gaffney, Jay Gaffney, Maura Gaffney, Michael Gaffney and Allison Hall; his brother Judge Bernard D. Gaffney; his grandchildren, Meghan Conway, Richard Conway, Keli Anderson, Elena Anderson, Hayley, Mary, Anna Howard, Joseph, John, Daniel, Liam Gaffney, Kate Hall and Jack Gaffney; and his wife MaryLou.
