It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Ann Modert (Jewett City, Connecticut), who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, H. Edward Thivierge and Viola M. Thivierge (Hughes); her grandfathers, Newton Police Chief and Charles Hughes; her sons, Bradley E. Modert and Eugene "Paul" Modert; her sister Brenda M. Orrell (Thivierge) of Melrose, MA.; and her close friends, Richard and Renee Chabotte. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephew, multiple great-nieces and great nephews.
With declining health throughout the pandemic, she was able to continue to participate in services via remotely through the Stonington Congregation.
