He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund LaPointe and Aldora Varieur LaPointe. He is survived by: his wife Claire Bachand; and his children, Donald (Mariann), John, Paul (Kathy), Barbara Turner (John), Karen Richardson, Jean LaPointe and Carol LaPointe. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
