She was predeceased by: her parents, Toivo Sihvonen and Elli Sihvonen (Forsman); her husband Clyde Jalkanen; her siblings, Eini, Miriam Sihvonen and Olavi; and her nephew Connor Sihvonen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lea Williams and Nina Jalkanen; her granddaughters, Liisa Chabot and Jillian Jalkanen; her great grandchildren, Nateya Linton (Alex), KeyAjae Jalkanen, Nyasia Wright and Sabrina Snipes; her nieces, Kimry, Jenny, Rochelle, Shirley and Karen; and her great great grandchildren, Milah, Alexander, Evelynn and Holden.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Griswold Funeral Home & Crematory (30 N Main St, Jewett City, CT 06351).
