With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlie Tiernan of Ivoryton, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on August 26, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E Tiernan, Sr. and Helen Morris Tiernan; and his sister Carol Jacques. He is survived by: his spouse Claire Kennedy Tiernan; his children, Diane Tiernan of Watertown, MA, Charles E. Tiernan III (Marie) of Branford, Shawn Tiernan (Cheryl) of Branford, Lee Tiernan (Amanda) of East Haven and Maura Russo (Marty) of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Jack Tiernan, Brian Tiernan, Kelly Tiernan, Colin Tiernan, Aiden Tiernan, Charley Tiernan, Brendan Russo and Liam Russo; and his caregiver Edie Hurlburt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
