He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nightingale and Marjorie Nightingale (Perkins). He is survived by: his wife Sandra A. Nightingale (MacQuarrie); his sister Judy Nightingale Haight (Richard) of Bennington, VT; his nephew Erik Haight; and his niece Dr. Krista Haight.
