It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Bernhardt (Higganum, Connecticut), born in West Palm Beach, Florida, who passed away on January 22, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Vanderlaan and Helen Vanderlaan (Blackburn); her husband Lawrence; her brother William; and her niece Theresa.

She is survived by: her daughter Debra Dailey (Scott Emanuele) of Higganum; her grandchildren, Shannon Santos (Gilberto, Rosemarie Dailey), Jason Dailey (Amanda Norman, Justin) and Casey Dailey; her great grandchildren, Roberto, Jason and Christopher; her nieces and nephews, Christine Labarba, Karen Vanderlaan, Linda Waagen, Theodore and Albert Vanderlaan; and her close friends, Gloria Sikorski, Winnie Distefano and Yvonne Kobylenski.
