He is survived by: his wife Carol Wanat (Lamb) of Hebron; his children, Claire Utter (Benjamin) of Windsor, Randolph Wanat (Sarahjane Clark) of Lowell Massachusetts, Robert Wanat (Justine) and Richard Wanat (Karen) of East Hampton; his grandchildren, Robert Wanat, Thomas Wanat, Andrea Wanat, Mckayla Wanat, Kenna Wanat, Hazlin Utter, Genevieve Utter and James Utter; his brothers, Philip Wanat of Meriden and Peter Wanat of Meriden; and his nieces and nephews, Christine Aitken of Meriden, Stacey Porawski (John), Stephanie Wanat of New London, Alyssa Anderson (James) of Southington, Kari-Ann Wanat, Todd Wanat of Meriden and Ryan Wanat-Talbott (Brian) of Middletown.
