He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Connolly and Nora Connolly (Comer); and his brothers, Thomas Connolly (Josephine Connolly) of Limerick and Joseph Connolly of Limerick. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Michael, Jr. (Toula) of Glastonbury, CT, Joanne (Joseph O'Connor) of Hebron, CT, Kathleen (Joseph Carnelli) of Colchester, CT and Sean (Carol) of Hebron, CT.; his siblings, Padraig Connolly (Evelyn) of Castlebar, Mayo, Theresa Farrelly (Paddy) of Kells, Meath, Brendan Connolly (Marie) of Ballincollig and Cork; and his siblings-in-law, Kitty Connolly of Limerick, Ireland., James and Sharon Naughton of North Kingstown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
