It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R Conboy of Harwinton, Connecticut, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas V. Conboy and Margaret E. Conboy (Waterman); his former wife Jeanne Conboy (Geary); his son James T. Conboy; and his stepson Christopher J. Eucalitto.
He is survived by: his wife Anne M. Eucalitto Conboy (Mascetti); his children, John G. Conboy (Jeanne) of Albany, CA, Robert T. Conboy (Janet) of Westford, MA and Elizabeth M. Bawabe (Jon) of Columbia; his stepchildren, Frank C. Eucalitto (Gigi) of Jupiter, FL, Gary W. Eucalitto (Susan) of Torrington, John A. Eucalitto (Wendy) of Old Saybrook and Janice A. Bayette of Harwinton; and his daughter-in-law Maryanna Conboy of Sterling, VA. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home (258 Prospect St, Torrington, CT 06790). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (160 Main St, Torrington, CT 06790). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New St. Francis Cemetery (863 S Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Paul the Great Academy, 360 Prospect St., Torrington, CT 06790 or to the La Salle Academy, 612 Academy Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
