He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia A. Gottschall (Dwyer); his parents, David H. Gottschall and Betty Gottschall (Schindelbauer); and his siblings, David H. Gottschall and Elsie M. Gangell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Alibrandi (James) of Westford, MA, Linda Gottschall of Torrington and Kristin Novak (John) of Colchester; his sister Betty A. Grunder (John); his brother-in-law Wallace E. Gangell of Torrington; and his grandchildren, Angela Alibrandi, Brian Alibrandi, Michael Gottschall, John "Jack" Novak and Katelyn Novak.
