It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Devine Chalker of Harwinton, Connecticut, who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick J. Divane and Elizabeth Corcoran; her sisters, Julia "Sheila" Stehle and May Byrne; and her daughter Patricia Chalker.
She is survived by: her husband Peter E. Chalker; her sister Bridget Divane of Portmagee, Ireland.; her children, Sean Chalker (Margot) of Bethlehem, CT, Kerry Higgins (Kevin) of Midlothian, VA, Kelly Ward (Bob) of Warren, CT, Daniel Chalker (Lilibeth Rodriguez) of Waterbury, CT, Brian Chalker (Carly) of Torrington, CT, Patrick Chalker (Paula) of Chester, MA, Eilish Stewart (Jamie) of Phoenix, AZ and Bridget Chalker of Newburyport, MA; and her grandchildren, Luis, Carlos, Jackson, Taylor, Ryan, Jeff, Caitlin, Madilyn, Daniella, Amanda, Mellisa, Patrick, Madeline, Isla, Lusia and Cillian. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington, CT (visit UCONN Foundation website) as a token of appreciation for the exceptional care that the staff provided their loved one.
