He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Alvarez and Barbara Alvarez (Oneglia). He is survived by: his wife Pamela Alvarez (Groden); his children, Kristin Thaler (Jack) of Nahant, MA and Tyler Alvarez (Julia Sheahan) of Watertown, CT; his brother Scott Alvarez (Kristin) of Burlington, CT; his stepsisters, Loretta Giramonti (Gary) of Griswold and Lords Point and Veronica Magistrali (Mark) of Torrington, CT; his sister-in-law Linda Duclos (Groden) of Worcester, MA; his grandchildren, Reese and Brody Thaler; his uncle Ernie Torizzo; his aunt Cora Regis; his nieces and nephews, Kyle, Lauren Alvarez, Kim, Michelle Duclos, Kelly Pike, Mark Philip Magistrali, Dani Cutrone, Julia Lobe and Anita Gerrard; and his cousin Andrew Cianciolo.
