He was predeceased by: his parents, Basdeo Durgacharran and Sumintra Durgacharran; and his son Thomas Basdeo. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Basdeo (Sukhraj); his daughters, Elizabeth Basdeo and Mary Alphonso; his grandchildren, Carl Basdeo (Veronica), Finella Basdeo, Joy Hariprasad, Jessica Hariprasad, Chazz Alphonso, Jeremy Hariprasad, Maxwell Alphonso and Anna Alphonso; his great grandchildren, Isabella Dipoo and Natalie Basdeo; and his siblings, David Durgacharran and Rita Durgacharran.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene (932 Capitol Ave, Hartford, CT 06106). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
