With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Gongon Sr. of Hartford, Connecticut, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 11, 2021 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Gongon and Rufina Gongon; and his siblings, Blanca Gongon Ramos, Manuel Gongon Ramos and Gilberto Gongon Ramos.

He is survived by: his wife Blanca Gongon; his sons, Michael (Heather Gongon), Philip Gongon and Daniel Gongon; his grandchildren, Noble Gongon, Samson Gongon and Jade Gongon; and his siblings, Guillermina Gongon Ramos, Maria Gongon Ramos, Magdalena Gongon Ramos, Matilde Gongon Ramos, Ana Gongon Ramos, Carlos Gongon Ramos and Ramon Gongon Ramos.
